Dear Reader,
Thanks for coming over! You are about to begin your journey into one of the most unpublished secrets of this country. A fort that stands testimony to a story and a story that is as interesting as the fort itself! this is the epitome of courage and valour - of the undying human spirit - to protect his land, his freedom. This story is also about the sacrifice of a woman, treachery of a leader. And finally, the king that was not a king, the king that was a warrior, a lover, a husband, a son and a true people's man.

The story is about the fort of Chitradurga, a small, sleepy town just about a hindi-movie's time drive from Bengaluru. The city dawns on you like an ordinary little town that are plentiful in this country. There is no indication of the hidden treasure until you detour just before the bus teminus and head 500 years back!
The fort, aptly named "Elu suttina kote (Kannada: Seven layered fort"), comes acorss as another one of the umpteen safe havens of the erstwhile kings of India. But, you feel the difference as soon as you step into the fort. A paltry sum of Rs.5 gives you a slice of history.

The story is beginning to unfold! Pls come back for more!

Many thanks are due to my shutterbug brother-in-law, the only thing he is good at!
